After a disastrous break up, Qian Hailu wakes up to find that she's dead. Luckily (or unluckily), she's been given a chance to turn back the clock and avert her death—as long as she can pass three rounds in the game of life.
Let’s talk about the character design for the second heroine in our survival horror yuri visual novel, The Final Prize is Soup!
The first person you meet in the afterlife, the girl who introduces Hailu to the game of life. Mysterious, with a bitter taste of arrogance.
She is the Judge of the Eleventh Court, who I will refer to as Eleven in this post.

Fun fact: Her name is actually taken from the list of two names I picked out for Qin (Consummation), but I think it suits Eleven better.
As for what the name is, play the game to find out, and keep an eye out for the fun facts write-up for the Chinese characters.
visual design
Throughout the game, she wears a red hanfu with pale yellow accents, an outfit suitable for a setting based on Chinese mythology.
Two details regarding her outfit that may not make sense until you read the game:
dragon embroidery pattern (a bit of a jab at someone she has enmity with)
jade bracelet (parents give them to their children as symbolic protection)
Unlike Hailu and Yanxu, our protagonist and other love interest, Eleven’s color palette was decided before any sketches were made—black hair, red dress.
The key points about Eleven’s design:
long black hair that is not tied up! (married ladies have their hair up)
red hanfu! (traditional Chinese dress in red)
In other words, the quintessential “red dress ghost king” trope that shows up in unlimited flow survival game yuri novels! (A Chinese subgenre similar to world hopping/quick transmigration.)
A beautiful yet dangerous Chinese girl wearing a red dress and hiding secrets…
